IT Manager Europe and Middle East
Description
This role is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and operations of IT systems for the DERTOUR DMC in EMEA region. Key responsibilities include coordinating IT solutions across the region, providing knowledge on escalated tickets, spreading awareness & security support, feeding back local requirements, and delivering solutions. Solid system integration experience, project management skills, regulatory awareness, and intercultural communication abilities are required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the department's strategy and objectives, acting as the link between the EMEA region, the Service Desk, and report directly to the Head of IT Infrastructure & Security.
- Provide daily support for local IT operations, including infrastructure and device management. Implement HQ security policies and ensure local compliance with GDPR and data protection laws, including access control, audit logging, and incident response.
- Ensure that project deadlines and quality standards are met.
- Prepare and manage the annual IT budget ensuring cost effectiveness and staff to drive excellence in information technology to support short-, medium-, and long-term objectives. (Reporting, KPI's, ...).
- Provide ongoing training to internal and external stakeholders on existing IT systems and new applications.
- Coordinate IT team members and micromanage local destinations IT staff where we currently operate, as well as potential acquisitions. (Currently 8 countries)
- Participate as necessary in area development meetings with key clients.
- Lead the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and standards related to information and telecommunications systems.
- Oversee the daily operations of the network infrastructure and servers.
- Ensure that IT activities are within the limits of applicable laws, codes, and regulations.
- Test, troubleshoot, and adjust information systems to function effectively.
- Implement security for applications, the network, data, and storage and communication systems.
- Integrate all software used by the company.
- Act as a liaison between headquarters and the organization's corporate operations.
- Develop and implement new business solutions.
- Redesign and maintain the customer portal and services, as well as contribute.
- Conduct training sessions, heads-up, awareness on security issues and subsequent reporting and follow-up to the group.

Minimum requirements
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in IT systems implementation/management, including 3+ years in regional or international projects; familiar with GDPR and data compliance.
- Skills: Strong in project management, resource coordination, problem-solving, and intercultural communication; fluent in English (German is a plus). Good knowledge of IT infrastructure overall, (specially Networking) its a must, Cloud Infrastructure (AWS/Azure) is a plus.
